Tomorrow, August 26, will be my 30th anniversary of having moved from Los Angeles to Nashville. Here is my old newsletter write-up upon arrival.

Below is the woman anxiously awaiting my arrival in Nashville... not. At bottom is the condo I eventually moved into -- after staying with my brother and his wife a couple months, then an apartment on the west side of town, then one near Vanderbilt -- before getting married (another few years later) and moving again.
UPDATE: Above is a screenshot -- on Bing Maps, which I think usually creates a better-looking map (and seems to think it's a couple hours faster than Google) -- of the route I took three decades ago.
