I've long admired the Amish people's dedication to simplicity, though I've heard/read they do not treat their horses well. They (not all of them) just use them up and spit them out. And, of course, the worst sin of all is that they pretend to abstain from using electronics but whenever you see one of them at a farmers market, they and/or their kids have phones.
