Magnets: Are they any good?
from Diane: I don't have a lot of experience with magnets, but I do have some. They decrease pain in many people. But it is not a permanent fix; eventually the mattress or bandage or whatever seems to just stop working. Also, although pain improves I haven't seen any of those other things happen (no increased circulation, no sped-up healing time, etc.) and I don't believe that they do, not directly anyway (meaning that if a body part doesn't hurt as much you will use it more and THAT will increase circulation to it; but the magnets themselves...?
