An anonymous user suggests, "Start taking 4 oregano oil capsules as soon as you start to get sick. See oregano oil

I am told it causes permanent lung damage. You don't want to catch this.

I feel sorry for your friend, but I don't think he has immunity for life. Listen to this, up to the 18 minute mark. Watch on YouTube

I just heard from a friend of mine who got G / G and he had the virus. It was hell, but he now has immunity for life.

Yea, the 23andMe link will show if you have the marker being discussed in the article.

And researchers from everywhere are working on it.

In a related post I just made, anyone who has tested at 23andMe can do this:

Fun with DNA

In modern times, it is fascinating how we can all so easily discover things about our health and ancestry from simple DNA tests.

This link provided by Ted Kandell is very, very interesting:

Ted showed me how to check something from my 23andMe test and you can just click on this, log into your account, and it gives you the answer in the bottom, right side.

You don't even have to search anything. The link has the search built in and it looks for this "marker" or "SNP" called "rs2975033"

Look where it says "Your Genotype" at the bottom. You will have either of these:

A / A

A / G

G / G

Ted writes:

"If there's an "A" you have at least one copy of HLA-A02:01. (A/A of course means your homozygous)."

Well, of COURSE -- we all know that! :-)

But what all this means boils down to the interpretation and I get the idea that's an open question still that the scientists are working on.

No matter what you get, it's not really the point here. The fact you can even do any of this so easily is just amazing.

It's this type of information about ourselves that a whole genome test, such as Dante Labs makes possible and has so many uses. I said I haven't found anything that is so interesting to me about the health applications of a whole genome test and that I use it for genealogy. But if it is ever discovered that the information you get like the above can tell you in advance you have a very low or high risk to get something as scary as the Corona virus, I can easily check my results and take the necessary measures.

Everyone is concerned with their health to some extent. Even the careless person is probably careless only until something happens to them and they suddenly are unable to do all they were once doing due to a health problem. This is why Dante probably focuses on health.

But in regards the Corona virus now spreading around the globe, what you get for the above is only an identification. It is not any diagnosis or prediction whether you will or won't get it. There is much to discover still.

And again, I only mention this because it's a fun fact about using DNA information in different ways. I seriously think everyone should get a whole genome test and use it for both genealogy and for health. I am just dipping my toes in the water for the health applications, but am very familiar with the genealogical applications. Just ask me if you are interested.

Got this off a forum, don't know what part of the country:

We have a close friend of the family who is a nurse that works in a large local hospital. She didn't give a lot of details, but she is saying to us to not go to hospital if at all possible. The medical staff is way over worked and can already barely handle the current situation. Currently the official number of covid-19 cases in our county is 4. She would not be saying what she said if there were only 4 confirmed patients in our county. She said things are far worse than what we are seeing or reading in the mainstream media. This probably the case all across the country, as officials do not want to alarm people.

Just got this fantastic advice:

The new NCP coronavirus may not show sign of infection for many days, how can one know if he/she is infected. By the time they have fever and/or cough and goes to the hospital, the lungs is usually 50 % Fibrosis and it's too late! Taiwan experts provide a simple self-check that we can do every morning: Take a deep breath and hold your breath for more than 10 seconds. If you complete it successfully without coughing, without discomfort, stuffiness or tightness, etc.,it proves there is no fibrosis in the lungs, basically indicating no infection. In critical times, please self-check every morning in an environment with clean air. SERIOUS EXCELLENT ADVICE by Japanese Doctors treating covid-19 "cases": Everyone should ensure your mouth & throat is moist, never DRY. Take a few sips of water every 15 mins at least. WHY? Even if the virus gets into your mouth...drinking water or other liquids will WASH them down through your esophagus into the stomach. Once there in tummy...your stomach ACID will kill all the virus. If you don't drink enough water more regularly....the virus can enter your windpipes and into the LUNGS. That's very dangerous. Pls send and share with family, friends and everyone.

I checked a few places today and you can't get sanitizer. I don't need it but was curious. Kroger has pallets of bottled people are buying like crazy. Popular delusions and the madness of crowds.

I had something similar last winter. Bad flu became bronchitis, tried to become pneumonia. To sleep I played a rainstorm mp3 in my earbuds to drown out wheezing lungs. Fever went to sub-normal, back and forth. You think it's over, then it comes back... The good thing about now is that people won't be pressured to get back to work when they should stay in bed.

Bed rest and sleep can cure almost anything. Around 95 or '6 there was possibly (unofficially) a meningitis epidemic, a few teenagers dropping dead in the emergency room. I and almost everyone got a version of it, like a bad flu that traveled all over the body seeking weak spots, but left you with aching joints for a year or more after. A friend got it but slept for 3 days straight and woke up well.

Took 25-year old Welsh guy a month to get over it. It went to pneumonia:

"We now have hundreds of thousands of so-called 'cases', 'infections' and 'positive tests' but hardly any sick people. Recall that four fifths (80%) of 'infections' are asymptomatic (1) Covid wards have been by and large empty throughout June, July, August and September 2020. Most importantly covid deaths are at an all-time low. It is clear that these 'cases' are in fact not 'cases' but rather they are normal healthy people."
