She's Warming Up To Usby bill - 2007-12-09 02:45:58 ( in family, adoption, holmes, travel) [php version] rebuildWe had her laughing, smiling and giggling today. I pushed her around on the three-wheeler, then "flew" her around the room. She even let us chase her around, and it didn't scare her when I chased her! She seemed more comfortable with Tara than she was with me today, so that's good. They can do "girlie" things together, you know. I forgot to mention, but I think yesterday she told me I was smart, "oomNEETsa." Probably because I'm always telling her that. I'm always telling her how pretty she is, too. So, it was a very good day with Elizabeth. Tomorrow, our visit is in the afternoon. Up until now, it's always been in the mornings, ending at her lunch time. similar posts here ... and elsewhere
Comments (We enjoy free speech. Try not to offend, but feel free to be offended.)I am glad Elizabeth is settling in with you and Tara. Time helps all things -- how could a child not love the two of you! Enjoy your daughter. - Dawn, 2007-12-04 02:15:58I am so glad that things are going well for you, Tara and especially Elizabeth. We are very anxious to meet her once you have her home and settled. Have you found out what her favorite colors are? Does she have a song or nursery rhyme that she enjoys?? Enjoy and cuddle often with her! - Amy, 2007-12-04 03:48:02Be honest, you slathered yourselves with scent of chocolate, right? Well, you gotta do what you gotta do, haha! How's the atmosphere now that the elections are over? I know a certain history teacher that would love some postcards or good pics. I know ya'll are busy! - Auntie Em, 2007-12-04 13:15:47We're living in our own little shell created by our inability to understand what people are saying. So, as far as we can tell, the atmosphere here is the same as it was before the election: people just going about their daily lives. - bill, 2007-12-04 18:48:37You are smart Bill. At least your daughter know that about you ;) - Jeannie, 2007-12-05 14:16:01Leave your own comment:Here is the complete blog of the adoption experience in paperback form, Russian Adoption: From Nashville to Astrakhan and Back (PDF).
