However, solar minimums are a hotly contested topic -- there is no proven method of predicting solar cycles in the future nor their effect on global temperatures. We have amended this article to include the counter scientific claims from the Space Weather Prediction Center/ NOAA and the University of Reading. We are happy to set the record straight."
