How To Survive The Big Freeze

Great ideas and tips.

Watch on Bitchute

It reminds me of the Amish home I was invited into last week when it was about 25⁰. It was very nice and toasty. As you know, they use their big iron stove to also heat the house.

I like the tip to set up a tent to contain the heat.

I already replaced the mixture of PVC pipes and copper tubing with PEX over the last two years. But there's a spot where I have the galvanized pipe from the city water coming up below the house about 3 feet and I'll cover that up.

We're going to fill 35 gallon trash cans with water and line them up in the hallway. Should be plenty to flush toilets and to purify with our Berkey.

Good luck!

some good tips!

Dan is out getting gas for the snow blower. we have a backup battery that we use just for the fridge, if we need it. though that's a good reminder. just keep food out in the snow!

we have ham radio stuff and Dan is certified. it's just for emergencies though.

we keep jugs of water to flush the toilet just in case. we have a water cube thing for drinking water and a big barrel of water that we have never had to use.

we use a camp stove though someday if we have to replace the wood stove, we would like one we could actually cook on.

we have had to replace PVC pipes with pex. when our pipe burst our first year in upstate NY, we saw a graveyard of broke. pipes next to the broken pipe! the owners before us were so lazy and stupid :p we have been fixing their terrible choices these last few years. Dan's next project is to flip all the upside down outlets. lol

anyway, I really like watching live weather reports by Ryan Hall, Ya'll on YouTube. he has a team of storm chasers so he gets on the ground coverage:

I'd like to get a flower wind turbine

https://www.amazon.com/tulip-wind-turbine/s?k=tulip+wind+turbine&tag=ustxtaddt-20or from the company Home Flower Turbines |

Home Flower Turbines

Our vertical axis wind turbines are the perfect solution to your energy needs. Combining beauty with function, o...

I invested in the company and investigated getting one. I don't think it'd work out having one hooked into the city power grid because I'd have to get permission from the local utility company but they can be off the grid. Where we live, the wind is iffy as to whether it's enough to do much.

I would like to have a diesel generator, too.

To run the entire house would require something big like that.

we've talked of getting a generator. Some are tri-fuel. I like the idea of one that can use diesel. a person can make diesel fuel for themself (a teacher at school had a diesel truck and she had her students make it for her truck as a project)

Yes, we have extension cords and gas

Do you have enough extension cords to run things?

I also just ran our generator and got a bunch of gas. We had to use it last winter for a few hours.

I just verified that our generator works properly after it just sat there in the garage still in the box the past five years. :). We always keep a couple of 5 gallon containers of water in the guest bathroom tub that nobody ever uses. So I guess we're all set.

And they make you prove your innocence rather than they having to prove your guilt. This causes anyone challenging this theft to pay massive lawyer bills, another complete scam.

Whatever happened to innocent until proven guilty?! Like everything else, they've flipped everything on its head and there is no such thing as equal justice under the law. It's a crime scene and the government is exactly the same as the mafia, but with even less morals.

If you didn't already figure it out, I'm no fan of government and think it needs to crash and burn completely to the ground.

People who think we need any government are "statists" and believe in the insanity of someone else having the right to rule over you. To the contrary, I don't think anyone has such a right.

Mike sold his 3 million dollar ranch for 300k a few years back. Even the Mexican nationals that are friends said don’t come down back when Eric Holder armed the cartels during Obama’s era. It used to be safe enough for girls to go shopping for the day in Laredo but not since the early 2000. I’d be very careful moving down there.
