Here are some photos from today of the hotel and the closest major street to us. We didn't get very far on our walk because it was too cold.
I just had to go for a walk. I was getting cabin fever. This is where we walked. Tara's at the bottom right of one of the pictures.
Tomorrow (Monday) will be a busy day. We file some paperwork at a couple different places and pick up Elizabeth from the orphanage!
Here is the complete blog of the adoption experience in paperback form, "Russian Adoption: From Nashville to Astrakhan and back". And here is the fictionalized, future "homeland tour" (action adventure) version in various forms: on Kindle, various electronic formats, and in paperback.

"Hang in there.. you're almost there. Not to brag or anything, but today we set a record high of 76. We had to turn the AC on tonight because the kids were sweating in their short pjs. Chris looked it up and the record that we broke was set in 1952 which was also the year we set a record for the hottest summer and the coldest winter. So, with a front coming in this week, I don't think you guys will get to enjoy this weather when you get back. Knowing your luck... it'll be snowing!! Good luck tomorrow with Elizabeth... you guys are going to have so much fun with her. You'll be AWESOME parents!! " Leslie, 2007-12-09 14:56:34
"Thanks. I'm sure it'll be fun ... eventually ... once we can look back and laugh about it all ... several years from now. :) " Bill, 2007-12-09 16:31:501
